50-year-old arrested with 100 bottles of illicit liquor in Piliyandala

Police stated that a 50-year-old resident of Karadiyana, Piliyandala, was arrested in possession of 75 litres of illicit liquor (100 bottles) during a raid conducted in the Karadiyana area yesterday (06).

At noon on the same day, a team of officers from the Walana Central Anti-Corruption Strike Force, acting on information received, conducted the raid within the Piliyandala Police Division.

The suspect was subsequently handed over to the Piliyandala Police Station. 

Further investigations are being conducted by the Piliyandala Police.
