Protesters block Galle Road near Magalla

Heavy traffic reported on the Galle Road, as a group of fishermen have launched a demonstration near the Ceylon Fisheries Corporation office in Magalla this morning, Ada Derana reporter said.
The demonstration has been staged in protest against the transfer of the managing officer in charge of the Magalla Fisheries officer, it was reported.
Transportation officials advise drivers to take alternate routes, the police media unit said.
