President of the National Movement to Protect Soldiers Ven. Bengamuwe Nalaka Thero says the present leaders of this country do not know the meaning of ‘national security’.

The Thero made the observation at a press conference held in Colombo this afternoon (22).

He pointed out some elements attempt to label him as a racist due to his effort to ensure that the true ‘national heroes’ are protected. “But we are patriots,” said Nalaka Thero.

“We will always raise our voice and support our soldiers in a bid to make sure they won’t face any injustice,” Nalaka Thero added.
