Royal College principal transferred

The Principal of Royal College in Colombo, Upali Gunasekara, has been transferred to the Ministry of Education with immediate effect, according to Minsiter Akila Viraj Kariyawasam.
Addressing a press conference today, he said that action will be taken against the principals of schools such as Kingswood College in Kandy, Royal College and D.S. Senanayake College in Colombo for violating the circulars issued by the ministry.
As a result the principal of Royal College Colombo has been transferred, the Education Minister said.
