New bill to regulate spas and massage centers

The Ministry of Health says that a new act will be introduced to regulate the spas and massage centers in the country.
Health Services Director General Dr. Palitha Mahipala stated that the new act will be introduced due to the legal issues with regard to inspecting such establishments.
Speaking at a seminar held at the Health Education Bureau today (23), he said that the act has currently been submitted to the Department of Legal Draftsman and that after it is passed measures will be taken to monitor massage centers and spas.
