Message of Christ consists of many lessons - PM

All the Christians in Sri Lanka and everywhere else are wished a blessed Easter Sunday by Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe.

 
Issuing a message for Easter Sunday falls today (27) he said “the Good Friday and Easter Sunday commemorated by the Christians all over the world, serves as a powerful reminder of the theme central to the message of the Jesus Christ : love, justice and mercy”.

 
Message of the Lord Jesus Christ consists of many lessons that can be learnt by us as a nation to rise above petty disparities, party and political strife, religious and ethnic differences and unite as one people, one nation.

 
The life of Lord Jesus Christ and his Ministry on earth is personified the virtues he preached -love, equality, peace, harmony and humility.
 

The “Easter”, Christianity’s most holy occasion is commemorated all over the world with reverence and reflection. The crucifixion of Lord Jesus Christ commemorated on Good Friday and His joyful resurrection on Easter Sunday.
