Govt. drifting towards dictatorship - Mahinda

September 11, 2016   11:35 am

The present Government is eyeing to lead to a dictatorship, former President Mahinda Rajapaksa says.

The observation was made while he was speaking at a meeting held in Homagama.

“The Government lied to the people in a bid to take the power,” he charged.

He also severely condemned the decision of the President and former President Chandrika Kumaratunga to attend the 70th Convention of the United National Party (UNP). “They have betrayed the policy of Bandaranayke’s,” Rajapaksa added.
