Patient falls to his death at H’tota Hospital

A patient receiving treatment at the Hambantota General Hospital has fallen to his death from a building at the hospital premises.
The 80-year-old patient died after falling off the third floor of the building this morning (13), police said.
It has been reported that the patient was admitted to the hospital in order to be treated for a mental illness.
Police are yet to determine whether the elderly patient jumped off the building or whether he fell while Hambantota Police is conducting further investigations.
