Singer Chillie remanded until 25 October

Singer Chillie Thilanka has been arrested and remanded for allegedly assaulting a 57-year old man over a road rage incident, police said.


Thilanka was remanded until 25 October after being produced before the Kaduwela Magistrate this afternoon (11).


An investigation had been launched against him following a complaint lodged by a trishaw driver who alleged that the singer had assaulted him in Thalangama three days ago.


The driver who sustained minor injuries was initially admitted to the Thalangama Base hospital for treatments.
