A petition has been filed with the Supreme Court against the agreement with regard to leasing a part of the Hambantota harbour to a Chinese company, Vasudeva Nanayakkara says.

He expressed this view while speaking at a press conference held in Colombo on Monday.

“We would not hesitate to take any action in a bid to stop this agreement,” he said.

He also went on to say neither the Cabinet of Ministers nor the Parliament have been apprised of the pact’s proposals yet.
