Journalist Ariyadasa Peiris passes away

Veteran journalist and radio personality Dr Ariyadasa Peiris has passed at the age of 91. 

Peiris was a senior announcer of the Sinhala Service of Radio Ceylon and had entered the field of radio broadcast in 1951.

He is the father of popular Sri Lankan songstress Chitra Priyadarshani Peiris.
