South Australia Police have charged three unidentified Nepali men for the gruesome murder of a Sri Lankan national.
The alleged crime took place last Friday evening in the northern Adelaide suburb of Penfield Gardens, a police statement said.
Police made the ghastly discovery after they were called to an address on Broadacres Drive at 8:20 pm on February 3.
“On arriving police located the body of a 39-year-old man deceased inside the house,” police said in the press statement.
The three men from Nepal were arrested following subsequent investigation by local detectives – a 44-year-old man from Davoren Park, a 34-year-old man from Northfield and a 48-year old man from Elizabeth North, authorities said.
They appeared in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court today and have been remanded in custody. Reports said none of the alleged murderers applied for bail.
A housemate of the deceased ran for his life alerting a neighbour who found the victim lying “in a pool of blood”, The Advertiser said. The identities of the three men have been suppressed by the court to safeguard the ongoing police investigation, the report further said today.
