Ananda Thero claims PSUNU strike is successful

The Chairman of The Public Service United Nurses Union (PSUNU), Ven. Muruththettuwe Ananda Thero, stated that the PSUNU will be engaging in an island wide strike today (15).

Ven. Thero added that the sick leave strike that was carried out on the 13 and 14 of this month was proven successful as well. 

The strike is believed to be caused requesting for three issues in the system to be corrected. 

Ven. Thero also stated that discussions will be carried out later today regarding the 7 appeals made during the previous strike. 

He also claimed that the statements made by Saman Rathnapriya and other union leaders were proven wrong.
