Indian ocean showing extensive levels of pollution

Research has revealed that the Indian Ocean is showing signs if pollution due to the dumping of excreta from the countries nearby. 

Professor Athula Senaratne, a professor in geology at the University of Peradeniya stated that the Indian Ocean is more polluted than many of the Oceans worldwide. 

He added that the excretory matter being dumped by countries such as India and Bangladesh have added to the extensive levels of pollution, and emphasized the need to bring the issue to the attention of the authorities of the countries present in the Indian Ocean.
