Cannabis cultivation raided in Lahugala

On receipt of intelligence information to the Navy, a group of naval personnel attached to the Southeastern Naval Command in coordination with STF personnel of Shasthraweli recovered a cannabis cultivation in Lahugala Forest, during a raid. 


The cultivation was located approximately 15 km away from the Neelagiri Maha Seya, Lahugala, Navy said. 


The SLN and STF personnel set fire on the plantation destroying over 5,000 well grown plants of cannabis. Further investigations into the incident are conducted by the Pothuvil Police.
