Three arrested over illegal importation of banned weedicide in Paniyadiya

Three individuals have been arrested over the illegal importation of weedicides into the country. 

Police stated that the arrest was made near the Paniyadiya port by officials from the Kalpitiya Police department. 

The imported weedicide, which is currently banned in Sri Lanka, was imported from Kerala via sea.
