Subsequent phase of priority bus-lane system begins today

The priority bus lane system introduced as a joint effort of the Police Traffic division, Sri Lanka Transport Board, Road Development authority (RDA), National Transport Commission, Colombo Municipal Council (CMC) and Road Passenger Transport Authority will see the commencement of another phase from today (29).

Accordingly, a priority bus lane will be introduced from the Polduwa junction to Borella bypassing the Ayurveda junction on the parliament road. 

Prof. Amal Kumarage of the Moratuwa University has stated that the priority bus lane program introduced on Galle road has vehemently benefited the motorists traveling during peak traffic hours. 

Prof. Kumarage also stated that the priority bus lane program will be implemented from 6.00am to 9.00am on the Parliament road from today (29).
