SLBC Chairman appointed as Director General of Govt. Information

Sri Lanka Broadcasting Co-operation (SLBC) Chairman Sudarshana Gunawardena has been appointed as the Acting Director General of government Information department today (11).
The appointment was made following the vacancy which prevailed in the position after the resignation of Dr Ranga Kalansooriya, from his position as the Director General on September 29.
Sudarshana Gunawardena was appointed as the Chairman of SLBC earlier June, this year.
He is a lawyer by profession and was appointed as an advisor to the PM on Non-governmental organizations in 2015.
