Two spill gates of Kukuleganga opened

Two spill gates at the Kukuleganga reservoir have been opened due to rising water levels after the catchment areas experienced a rainfall of more than 100 mm, Disaster Management Center (DMC) said.

People living in Palindanuwara, Agalawatte, Baduraliya, Ingiriya and downstream have been advised by the DMC to be on alert for the possibility of rising water levels.
