The 9th World Health Summit commences today

The 9th World Health Summit (WHS) commences at Berlin,Germany, today(15).
It will be held from today (15) October to October 17 under the patronage of German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
A total of 1,600 participants including Health Ministers from 90 countries will take part in the summit.
Health Minister Dr. Rajitha Senaratne will take part in two key health conferences to be held in Germany and Uruguay.
According to the spokesman, Minister Senaratne will deliver a lecture on the theme `Controlling Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) at the WHS summit.
Minister Senaratne will also take part in the Global Conference on Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) organized by the WHO held in Montevideo, Uruguay from October 18 to 20.
The World Health Summit aims to improve health all over the planet, catalyzing that process through collaboration and open dialogue, and steering tomorrow’s agenda to improve research, education, healthcare, and policy outcomes.
It brings together researchers, physicians, key government officials, and representatives from industry as well as from NGOs and healthcare systems all over the world to address the most pressing issues facing every facet of healthcare and medicine in the upcoming decade and beyond.
