October 30, 2017   10:31 am

The University of Jaffna has reportedly been closed today (30) over the issue of ‘Tamil political prisoners’ languishing in jails across the country.

The gates and entrances to the university have been closed in protest over the issue, Ada Derana reporter said.

One of the main entrance to the university has also been closed while a banner hung over it by the ‘Jaffna University Community’ demands the immediate release of Tamil political prisoners.
