Import restrictions on milk powder to elevate local dairy farmers – President

President Maithripala Sirisena stated that all possible steps will be taken to bolster the livelihoods of local dairy farmers. 

He further stated that restrictions will be imposed on all milk powder imports to better position local dairy farmers in the Lankan market. 

President Sirisena expressed these sentiments while addressing a gathering in Polonnaruwa earlier today (5).
