One lane closed at Ward Place due to anti-SAITM protest

One lane from Town Hall towards Borella has been temporarily closed for traffic at Ward Place due to the ongoing anti-SAITM protest.

A large number of university students and parents and protesting near the location where the Medical Faculty Students’ Parents Association is staging a fast unto death, demanding the closure of the private medical college, in front of the dental hospital in Colombo. 

Severe traffic congestion has been reported at Ward Place in Colombo 7 and all connected roads due to the protest and the long queues at fuel stations, Ada Derana reporter said.
