Slanderous comments from the opposition are to be expected – Champika Ranawaka

Minister of Megapolis and Western Development Patali Champika Ranawaka stated that the Joint opposition has levied baseless allegations against the government stating that certain members of government have postponed the elections selfishly. 

Issuing a statement via his official facebook page Minister Ranawaka stated that as the ruling party it was expected to receive such slanderous comments from the opposition. 

He further stated that the elections commissioner will make an official statement regarding the upcoming elections on November 27 where it is more than like that the dates for the elections will be set in between January 25-31.
