Gunman shoots wall after failed armed robbery in Aluthgama

November 28, 2017   11:32 pm

Police have launched investigations to arrest two suspects who attempted to rob a currency exchange center located in the Aluthgama town.

The Police Spokesman’s Office said that two armed men wearing full-face helmets to conceal their identities attempted to rob the institution after threatening with a pistol.

However, they had failed to break in to steal any money and CCTV footage show one of the suspects shoot at a wall out of apparent frustration over the blotched armed robbery.

Aluthgama Police is conducting an investigation into the incident.
