Shooting incident at Weligampitiya junction

UPDATE (2.50 pm): The hospitalized female who was shot at in Weligampitiya has succumbed to the injuries.

The 40 year old had been admitted to Ragama hospital following the shooting.

 


 

A shooting incident has occurred at Weligampitiya junction in Ja-Ela, stated Police Media Spokesperson.

Reportedly, a female travelling in a motorcar has been shot at by an unknown gunman in this manner.

The injured victim has been hospitalized for treatment.
