A deep depression that has been present for some time over the Bay of Bengal has intensified into a cyclonic storm and it is heading towards the Odisha and Andhra Pradesh coast in India, the Indian weather office said today (09).

The Odisha government has alerted all district authorities to prepare for emergency relief work if cyclone Titli hits the state.

The Indian Meteorological Department or IMD has also warned of heavy rain in West Bengal and north Andhra Pradesh.

Fishermen have been told not to go out to the sea as winds up to 65 kmph are likely to accompany cyclone Titli.
