Motorists on Southern Expressway urged to avoid Kottawa exit

Motorists using the Southern Expressway from Matara to Colombo are urged to use Athurugiriya, Kothalawala and Kaduwala exits.

This was due to a heavy traffic congestion at Kottawa, according to the Road Development Authority (RDA).

A large number of buses arriving in the Southern Expressway for the ‘Jana Mahimaya’ rally which is to be held this afternoon have caused the traffic congestion.
