Trains delayed on Kelani Valley and main line

Train services on the Polgahawela-Maradana main line and Kelani Valley line have been delayed due to separate breakdowns on both tracks, the Railway Control Room said.
A technical error in a train on the main line between Veyangoda and Polgahawela has disrupted train services on the main line, according to the Railway Control Room.
Train services on the Kelani Valley line has also been disrupted due to a technical malfunction of a train which occurred between Kottawa and Homagama areas.
Meanwhile, train services on the upcountry line have been restricted to Bandarawela due to an earth slip on the railway line. The earth slip had occurred last night (05) in the area between Ella and Heel Oya.
