SLTB bus catches fire on Southern Expressway

A passenger bus belonging to Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) has caught near 3.6 L milestone in Kahathuduwa on Southern Expressway, this morning (13).

The bus, which set off from Makumbura, had been on its way to Galle when the incident happened at around 7.00 am.

The fire brigade of the Police Special Task Force (STF) had doused the fire completely.

No fatalities were reported owing to the incident and Kahathuduwa Police is conducting further investigations on the matter.
