People’s Bank to open for limited hours tomorrow

People’s Bank stated that it will open its branches in Colombo, Gampaha, Puttalam districts, and the 05 districts of the Northern Province when the curfew is lifted at 6 am tomorrow (24).

The branches will remain open until 10 am for limited banking transactions, stated the bank.

However, branches in other districts will remain closed until the curfew continues to be enforced.

During this time period, its customers are requested to adhere to the instructions provided by the bank employees and security personnel at the branch premises, said People’s Bank. Customers are required to maintain a distance of at least 1 meter with each other at the counters or other self-banking units.

Further, the People’s Bank encourages its customers to use their Automated Teller Machines (ATM), Cash Deposit Machines (CDM), Kiosk machines at self-banking units in the relevant districts for cash withdrawals, cash deposits and bill payments.
