Sri Lanka surpasses 8,000 mark in COVID-19 recoveries

The total number of coronavirus recoveries reported in the country has surpassed the 8,000th mark with 562 individuals diagnosed with Covid-19 being discharged from medical care following complete recovery. 

According to the situation report, the following hospitals have reported the latest recoveries:

Dr. Neville Fernando Teaching Hospital – 04

Kamburugamuwa Hospital – 14
Kattankudy Hospital – 01
Teldeniya Base Hospital - 08
Lunawa District Hospital – 01
Ingiriya District Hospital - 07
Maruthankerny District Hospital – 01
Dankotuwa District Hospital - 08
Karadiyanaru District Hospital – 32
Padiyathalawa District Hospital- 16
National Hospital For Respiratory Diseases (NHRD) - 01
Galella Treatment Center – 85
Punani Treatment Center – 83
Embilipitiya Treatment Center – 42
Kahagolla Treatment Center – 87
Bingiriya Treatment Center -75
Rambukkana Treatment Center - 14

The new development brings the total number of novel coronavirus recoveries reported in the country to 8,285.

Sri Lanka’s confirmed cases court meanwhile stands at 11,744. The Epidemiology Unit says 5,863 of them are still under medical care.
