Sri Lanka Rupee hits record high against USD

The Sri Lankan Rupee has marked a record high against the US dollar, with the buying rate hitting Rs. 351.72 and the selling rate dropping to Rs. 362.95.

The Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) reported that this is the lowest rupee value against the US dollar since 04 May 2022.

Meanwhile, the Middle Rate of the USD/ LKR SPOT Exchange Rate was recorded at Rs. 358.45.

CBSL further reported that as of 28 February 2023, the Sri Lankan Rupee has appreciated by 0.4% against the US Dollar.

The Sri Lankan Rupee has also appreciated against the Euro, the Pound Sterling, the Australian Dollar, the Indian Rupee and the Japanese Yen as of 28 February 2023.
