Four accomplices of ‘Rotumba Rasika’ arrested

Four accomplices of the incarcerated notorious underworld figure ‘Rotumba Rasika’ have been arrested by the Police Special Task Force (STF).

The arrest was made during raids mounted in the areas of Mulatiyana and Makandura in Matara.

The STF personnel have seized an AK47 firearm, a US-made 9mm pistol and 12 grams of heroin from the possession of the suspects, aged 36, 43, 44 and 51.

The arrestees were handed over to the custody of Thihagoda Police for onward investigations.

According to reports, ‘Rotumba Rasika’ –a notorious criminal and large-scale drug trafficker currently incarcerated at the Boossa Maximum-Security Prison, was a close associate of the slain criminal gang leader and drug dealer ‘Makandure Madush’.
