Train services on the up-country line have been disrupted, owing to a fallen tree, Sri Lanka Railways says.

It is reported that a tree has fallen across the tracks between Watawala and Galabada Railway Stations this afternoon (15).

As a result, the “Udarata Menike” train plying from Colombo Fort to Badulla has also been stopped at the Galabada Railway Station, according to the Sri Lanka Railways.

The railway department mentioned that efforts are underway to clear the tracks, adding that the train services will possibly be restored soon.
