Petition filed against ex-Sports Minister over contempt of court

A petition has been filed before the Court of Appeal requesting to take legal action against the former Minister of Sports Roshan Ranasinghe over the contempt of court.
The relevant petition was filed by an attorney-at-law today (Nov.29), challenging a recent speech the former minister had made in Parliament.
The petitioning party has further requested the court to impose appropriate punishments against Ranasinghe regarding the charges of contempt of court.
