Young woman dead after being hit by train near Nine Arch Bridge

A 21-year-old woman has been killed after being hit by a train near the Nine Arch Bridge between the Ella and Demodara railway stations.
The deceased woman has been identified as a resident of the Kithalella area, the police said.
Police revealed that she had been hit by the night mail train plying from Colombo to Badulla last night (Dec. 24).
Further police investigations are underway regarding the incident.
