The Sri Lankan government has decided to award the contract for the provision of ground operation services for SriLankan Airlines’ aircraft at the Narita Airport in Tokyo, Japan to International Air Cargo Terminal Co. Ltd.

Accordingly, the relevant contract will be awarded to International Air Cargo Terminal Co. Ltd. from 01 August 2024 to 31 July 2027, as recommended by the Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee.

The proposal, presented by the Minister of Ports, Shipping and Aviation, was approved by the Cabinet of Ministers at a meeting held last evening (08 Jan.).

Bids were initially invited under the international bidding process to select a suitable service provider to provide ground operation services for the aircraft of Sri Lankan Airlines Limited at Tokyo-Narita Airport.

Two bids were subsequently received, after which it was established that International Air Cargo Terminal Co. Ltd was the lowest-evaluated substantially responsive bidder.
