DIG of Police Special Branch gets promotion

Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police T.C.A. Dhanapala has been promoted to the post of Senior DIG.
Issuing a statement, the Police Media Division stated that the relevant promotion was made by the IGP under the approval of the National Police Commission.
Accordingly, this appointment will be retrospectively effective from February 29, 2024, as per the Police Media Division.
SDIG Dhanapala is currently in-charge of the Special Branch Range.
