Two suspects arrested over Pitigala shooting that killed two

Two suspects have been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting incident in front of a shop in Guruwala area in the Pitigala police division.

The suspects were arrested yesterday (16) in the Talgaswala area.

According to police, a suspect who had allegedly helped plan the crime and a suspect who aided and abetted it were arrested.

Both suspects are 35-year-old individuals residing in the Talgaswala area.

Three mobile phones and 02 motorcycles believed to have been used for the crime have been taken into police custody.

On March 11, two unidentified persons on a motorcycle had opened fire with a T-56 firearm near a shop in the Guruwala Junction in Pitigala, killing two persons and critically injuring two others.
