Annual transfers of health workers in Western Province temporarily halted

March 19, 2024   09:16 am

The annual transfers of health sector employees in the Western Provinces have been suspended by the Provincial Governor Air Vice Marshal Roshan Goonetileke.

The decision to temporarily revoke the transfers was taken based on a directive given by the Urban Development and Housing Minister Prasanna Ranatunga who took into account the complaints by the hospital workers employed in the Western Province.

They alleged that the annual transfers in the Western Province had been done in an irregular manner.
