Prepare for presidential election first: President tells Cabinet

President Ranil Wickremesinghe has told the Cabinet of Ministers that the Presidential Election would be held prior to the General Election, Ada Derana learns.

At the Cabinet meeting held on Monday (March 18), Wickremesinghe has reportedly asked the lawmakers to get ready for the Presidential Election first.

Further, it is understood that the President has instructed the Cabinet to conclude the developmental activities initiated by the government at the earliest possible in order to prepare for the polls.
