Evening thundershowers expected in several provinces including Western

The Meteorology Department says Showers or thundershowers can be expected in parts of Western, Southern, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Uva and North-western provinces after 2.00 p.m. on Friday (29).

Fairly heavy showers above 50mm are likely at some places in Sabaragamuwa and Western provinces and Galle and Matara districts.

Misty conditions can be expected in Central, Sabaragamuwa, Uva and Western provinces and Galle and Matara districts in the morning.

The members of the public are advised to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
