Notice for O/L exam candidates from Dept. for Registration of Persons

The Department for Registration of Persons’ head office at Battaramulla and several other provincial offices will be open from 08.30 a.m. to 01.00 p.m. tomorrow (May 04) for G.C.E. Ordinary Level candidates to obtain their National Identity Cards (NICs). 

Accordingly, the Department for Registration of Persons’ head office and provincial offices in Galle, Kurunegala, Vavuniya and Batticaloa will be open on Saturday only for the G.C.E. O/L candidates, the department announced.

Meanwhile, it is informed that the applicants who have not yet submitted applications to obtain their NICs must bring duly completed applications certified by the Principal of their respective schools or the relevant Grama Niladhari Officers.

The information confirmation letter with respect to the matter can be downloaded from the official website of the Department of Registration of Persons via www.drp.gov.lk, it added.
