A bag containing approximately 180 passports has been discovered in a drain in the Maharagama area.

Investigations have revealed that the passports in question had been obtained by a foreign employment agency which had been operating in the Mahragama area by promising employment in foreign countries.

It is reported that the owner of the agency had duped a number of people seeking employment overseas and fled the area after swindling nearly Rs. 260 million.
