All twenty-two persons who were arrested during the protest by unemployed graduates at the North Central Provincial Council building have been granted bail by the court.

A tense situation was reported this afternoon (06) as a group of unemployed graduates surrounded the North Central Provincial Council (NCPC) building in protest and seeking solutions to their demands.

They had also reportedly blocked the entrances to the building preventing anyone from entering or exiting the building.

Police said a total of 22 persons including 11 females were arrested for unruly behaviour as police officers attempted to disperse the protesters.
