Fallen tree blocks road in Borella, disrupting traffic

A large tree has reportedly fallen across the road near the Devi Balika Vidyalaya in Borella.

Ada Derana reporter said that the tree had fallen this morning (21) amidst the heavy downpour and strong winds, and that this had resulted in traffic congestion in the area.

Reportedly several vehicles were also damaged in the accident.

Colombo Municipal Council (CMC) workers are engaged in the removal of the tree and restore traffic movement along the road.
