New member appointed to vacant seat in Sri Jayewardenepura Kotte MC

Shaharin Faika Mohamed Fowsi has been appointed to fill a vacant member seat in the Sri Jayewardenepura Kotte Municipal Council.

 

The vacancy arose following the resignation of Kumarage Eranga Shiromali, who had been elected to the council representing the People’s Alliance.

 

In accordance with the provisions of the Local Authorities Elections Ordinance, the Secretary of the People’s Alliance nominated Shaharin Faika Mohamed Fowsi to fill the relevant vacancy.

 

Accordingly, acting under Section 66A(1)(b) of the Local Authorities Elections Ordinance, the Returning Officer of the Sri Jayewardenepura Kotte Municipal Council, Piumi Attygale, officially declared Shaharin Faika Mohamed Fowsi as a member of the Municipal Council.
