Nepal Police have just posted official fatality and casualty figures on their X account.
The death toll is 10 fewer than reported by Reuters a little earlier - at 616.
The area breakdown is
Chitwan - 233
N.W. East - 158
Gorkha - 48
NP West - 47
Dhading - 45
Nuwakot - 41
Tanahun -31
Rasuwa -13
The latest number of people injured in the disaster is said to be 2,301.
Nuwakot - 1,622
Rasuwa - 676
Dhading – 3
Nepal Police said 4,811 officers were involved in the rescue effort.
As a reminder, details from Tibet are scant due to Chinese authorities' tight grip on information. The latest death toll quoted for the region is seven.
