Police open fire at three-wheeler after driver defies orders in Borella
Police opened fire at a three-wheeler after its occupants allegedly failed to comply with police orders in the Veluwana area of Borella.
According to police, the three-wheeler had been driven in defiance of police orders from the Kompannavidiya Police Division.
Five people were travelling in the vehicle at the time of the incident, police said.
Three swords were also found inside the three-wheeler and taken into police custody.
Police further said that the five individuals are residents of Kolonnawa.
